What can we do for kids who are living through #war, many with #ptsd after being bombed out of their homes and becoming the equivalent of #refugees within their own country? After all, kids need a chance to just be kids even when they’re designated #idps (Internally Displaced People)
Through the NGO MOVEUKRAINE I just launched #KidsKonnect#ukraine to be a bridge between Ukrainian and US youth and ultimately kids from all over the globe to share their hopes, dreams, fun, friendship, culture, music, memes, TikToks, video-games- you name it.
Weekly we have a scheduled #zoom meetup between kids on both sides of the ocean starting with middle and high school students from #CharlotteMecklenburgSchools and ones from #colliercounty Florida schools. Some participate through their classes, others through clubs like International club or #ModelUN and we’ve added #homeschool kids too. And we want #college student too interested in #internationalrelations, #communications etc.

I’ll be in #ukraine Nov 6-12th working with Ukrainian Ministries of Education and my dear friends from MoveUkraine.org. and taking some handwritten notes and artwork from US students to their counterparts in Ukraine.
Expect live or near-live postings from Ukraine as I’ll be posting a daily dairy as well.
